KS2 / KS3 / KS4 / KS5 Children’s Art Classes
Price: £12.00 per two hour session
(basic art materials provided)
KS2 - KS5 art classes are run in line with school / college term times. Children will have the opportunity to experiment and explore using a wide range of art and design disciplines, equipment and materials, to develop key art and design skills and concepts. Each term we start a new project / theme. In a typical project we research the work of a contemporary or historical artist and then the children record their initial ideas, feelings and observations. They then create a final piece of artwork / outcome. This could be a print, a sculpture, a painting etc. Children are very welcome to continue attending every term throughout the year and this way they will build upon their art and design skills and creative experiences.
The later class on a Wednesday (6pm - 8pm) is a dedicated GCSE Art and Design class / 'A' Level class where children can continue to develop their coursework and build upon their skills.

Beginners Adult Art Class
The beginners art class gives you the opportunity to try something new, meet new people or catch up with friends over a cup of coffee. The first eight weeks are 'taster' sessions where you will try out different art materials and equipment each week. For example; batik, lino printing, sculpting with modroc and decopatch. They are delivered in a relaxing environment and there is no pressure for you to produce ‘masterpieces’, if you don’t want to. Each week you will learn something new and try out a new skill.
After the initial 'taster' sessions we then move on to eight week projects where I guide you through step by step instructions to help you develop your artistic skills. For example; the colour wheel, perspective, acrylic painting, drawing, printing, pastels and sculpture. Again these classes run in eight week blocks and are meant for beginners. They are delivered in a relaxed environment and there is no pressure on you to produce a masterpiece! If there is something you had in mind I can also guide you to help you make something you are proud to show off!

Art and Photography Private Tuition
If you prefer you can have one to one lessons focussing on developing your artistic / photographic skills.
The beginners Photography course runs over six weeks. You will have the opportunity to learn about the manual settings on a DSLR camera; including shutter speed, aperture and ISO. We also look at composition and light. Lessons are delivered in a relaxing environment and you will also put what you have learnt into practise!
Price: £35.00 per hour.
